Lagos School Daze (and some year-end stuff)

Just an FYI for those of you who read Lagos School Daze

I updated the first chapter, added a second chapter, and I'm currently working on the third. Let me know what you think. The start of the story has changed a bit, but its for the best. I wasn't really updating much because of finals but my classes are almost over so now I have time! Hurray.

In other news, I will be in Chicago a lot over the next few weeks so if you want to hang out, you know where to find me (just search the city for the person bitterly complaining about how slow the CTA is and how they refuse to de-ice sidewalks). I am really looking forward to the break from work!

2010 is almost over, how was it for you? For me, 2010 will be the year I decided to say no to medical school--much to my parents chagrin--and make moves towards an eventual MBA. Its the first full year I spent working full time as a yo-pro (young professional) and despite whatever complaints I have about my job this is a good thing.

At the end of each year I try to measure how much I have grown personally (or not) and this year is no different. I have come to terms with certain aspects of myself that will not change and I learned to make my personality work for me instead of trying to break it down and build it back up to suit other people.

To everybody who reads the blog, thank you! If only my paranoia would allow me to "un-anonymous" myself I'd like to meet some of you.  I'm sure we would be great friends.

I shall keep writing Lagos School Daze as much as possible over the break, so let me know how the 2 chapters are so far!
